Failing to complete the 45 hours inside 180 days is a citable violation under La. R.S. 37:1437. LREC's published fine citation schedule sets the first violation at $325, and paying it does not remove the requirement. You still have to complete all 45 hours.

How long do I have access to the course?

Is there an exam, and where do I take it?
Yes. LREC requires an examination on course content in order to complete post-license education. It is taken here through the school, with no third-party testing center to schedule, travel to or pay for.
How soon is my completion reported to LREC?
Typically within two business days of you finishing the course. You also receive a completion certificate to keep for your own records.
Is the course fully online?
Yes. All 45 hours are self-paced and online across 23 chapters, available the moment you enroll, with no scheduled sessions to attend.
Does this count toward my continuing education?
Partially. In the year you complete it, post-license education may be used to satisfy a portion of the 12-hour annual continuing education requirement. It cannot be used to satisfy the mandatory course topics that LREC specifies.

Do I still need this if I already did the 90-hour pre-license course?
